Russell Costa, 91, died peacefully in his home in Anderson, SC on December 31, 2022. He was born June 18, 1931, in Paterson, New Jersey to Russell and Antonia (Armagno) Costa. He is predeceased by his parents as well as his sisters Rose Gibson, Mary Fylstra, Ann Adams and his brother Sam Costa. He was also predeceased by his wife, Rosemary McQueen Costa. He leaves behind 2 daughters, Barbara Costa of Charleston, SC, and Alice Costa of Pleasant Grove, UT, and 2 grandchildren, Eric (Megan) Bosse of North Charleston, S,C and Dana Bosse of Asheville, NC, along with several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind friends Donna Elms, Diane Jones and Shynickie Dendy. He served in the Air Force from 1949-1952 and retired from the Singer Corporation in 1993 where he always said business was "sew sew." He enjoyed telling stories and "dad" jokes. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. His daughters would like to thank the staff and caregivers from Hospice of the Upstate for their care and compassion.
