Russell Eugene Hopper, age 89, of Iva, SC, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021. He was born October 13, 1931 and was the son of the late Isacc Russell Hopper and Flonda Mae Humphries Hopper. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Diane Teasley; sister, Adelia McMurtrey; nephew, Tommy McMurtry; and a niece, Sherri Hopper. Russell was the owner and operator of Hopper Chevron Station for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Doris Taylor Hopper; two sons, William Hopper (Marsha) of Salem, and Donnie Hopper (JoAnn) of Iva; brother, Ernest Hopper; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. C.W. Hicks officiating.
