ANDERSON, SC Ruth Campbell Aiken, age 94, life-time resident of Anderson, wife of the late Clifford H. Aiken, , passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harrison Campbell and the late Hassie Dowis Campbell. She was a retired lunch room manager with Anderson District #5 with over 30 years of service, and a charter member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Beloved by family and many friends, Mrs. Aiken was proud to call Anderson her hometown and was always ready with a story to share about her favorite places here. She is survived by her daughter, Jennie Wilson and her husband, Martin of Mauldin, SC; two grandchildren, Mark Wilson and his wife, Lisa, and Felicia Abbott and her husband, Joey; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra Wilson and Casey Goodin. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three brothers and five sisters. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Tom Owen and Reverend Brian Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home before the service.
