'Bill' Burgess, died Tuesday, August 09, 2005 at the Anderson Area Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson County, SC on August 8, 1908, Mrs. Burgess was a daughter of the late W. O. Welborn and Loma Kelly Welborn. She was retired from Ellison's Lad & Dad as a saleslady. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson since 1958 and was a member of the Gleaner's Sunday School class and the Hill Women's Circle.Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ann Harris and her husband, Bob of Greenville, SC and Nancy B. Dykes of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren, Kathy White of Greenville, SC, Lisa Fullbright and Allan Dykes, both of Anderson, SC and six great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John C. Dykes; two brothers, Marion B. Welborn, Sr., and Frank M. Welborn and a sister Hazel W. Lowry.A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 5:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Dr. James R. Thomason.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter Nancy B. Dykes, 2014 Sheldon Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.The family suggests flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Anderson, 307 S.
