Mrs. Ruth Rogers Chastain, age 86 of 205 Beuregard Avenue, Anderson, SC, died Sat. Nov. 5, 2005 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC. Mrs. Chastain was born in Seneca, SC; a daughter of the late Ibra William Rogers and Maggie Emerson Rogers and was the wife of the late William Lowery Chastain. SHe was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and a dedicated member of the Blanche Holcombe Sunday School class.Survivors are a sister, Henel Rogers Sanders of Greenwood, Sc; a brother, Charles Ibra Rogers of Salem, SC; sons, Ronald L. and Roger W. of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, NOv. 7, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the CHapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Rev.Dr.James R. Thomason. A private family interment will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.The fmaily will receive friends fro 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road,Anderson, SC 29621.
