RUTH COBB January 29, 1925 - August 18, 2005 ANDERSON, SCMrs. Ruth Othella Johnson Cobb, age 80, of 1009 Burdine Road, Anderson, SC, wife of the late Bennie H. Cobb, Sr., died Thursday, August 18, 2005 at her residence.Born in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Ansel Johnson and Mamie Deal Johnson. She was retired from the Anderson County Council on Ageing as a Site Manager and was a member of Burdine Road Church of God in Anderson, SC.Survivors include sons, Glenn Cobb and Dwain Cobb, both of Anderson, SC and Bennie H. Cobb, Jr., of Williamston, SC; daughters, Regina Richardson of Anderson, SC, Paula Moss of Townville, SC and Beverly Gunnels of Anderson, SC; brothers, Junior Johnson of Walhalla, SC and Billy Johnson of Gulf Shores, AL; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald 'Bug' Cobb and Luther 'Pete' Cobb.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Sam Chasteen. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20, 2005 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.The family will be at the residenceFlowers are optional.
