Carrie Ruth Meredith passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home. Born in Anderson County, SC, on November 4, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ernest Junkins and the late Jessie Cheryl Junkins. She retired from Orr-Lyons Mill after many years of service. She was a faithful member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Milton Meredith; a daughter, Edna Richey Cleveland; two grandchildren, Wesley Cleveland and Sherry Black; three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with Reverend Stacey Griffis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends prior to the service on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church, 328 Beaverdam Church Road, Fair Play, SC 29643.
