REECE January 5, 1926 - August 28, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Ruth Elizabeth Powell Howell Reece, age 81 of 500 E-3 Concord Road, Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at her residence.Born in Hartwell, GA on January 5, 1926, Mrs. Reece was the daughter of the late Leonard and Myra Elrod Powell. She was a graduate of Nancy Hart High School of Hartwell, GA. She worked for Wellington Mills for fifty years and was working at Glen Raven for the last twelve years. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School class.She is survived by her husband, Claude Reece of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Thomas Beebe of Anderson; granddaughter, Connie Watt and husband, Marty Watt of Anderson; grandsons, Randy Beebe and wife, Dee Beebe of Anderson; Scotty Howell and wife, Shannon Howell of Anderson, Bryon Howell and wife, Jennifer Howell of Honea Path; great-granddaughters, Brittney Elizabeth Watt of Iva, Lacey Brooke Howell of Honea Path, Kendall Loren Howell of Anderson, great-grandsons, Brandon Reece Watt of Iva, Noah Brayden Howell of Honea Path, Charles Michael and Thomas Austin Beebe of Anderson; sisters, Martha Yeargin of Vero Beach, FL, Polly Dunson of College Park, GA, Christine White of Hartwell, GA; brothers, Harold Powell of Hartwell, GA, Dan Powell of Bowman, GA, Jimmy Powell of Dallas, GA and Wayne Powell of Riverdale, GA.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence J. Howell; son, Clarence Julius 'Jubie' Howell; sister, Jeanette Fowler and brothers, Lindsey, Frank, Gene and Woodrow Powell.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Don Cox and the Reverend J. Floyd Stansell, Jr. officiating.
