SABRA GENTRYNOVEMBER 28, 1936 - DeceMBER 29, 2011Mrs. Sabra Gentry, 75, of National Health Care of Anderson, formerly of Iva, died on Thursday, December 29, 2011. Born in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Johnson Brown, and Mary Elizabeth Simpson Brown. She was married to the late Ernest Wilton Gentry, Sr. Mrs. Gentry was employed for many years at the Iva Manufacturing Company where she was a seamstress. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva. Among her favorite interests were her grandchildren and sewing.Survivors include her sons, Ernie Gentry and Wayne Gentry (Karen); a daughter, Ronda Bolt (Sam) all of Iva; a brother, A. N. Brown (Betty) of Iva; and sisters, Hazel Gable of Iva, Mildred Anderson (Charles) of Starr, and Margie Hicks of Anderson. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jenny Hubbard; Erica, Hailey and Nathan Gentry; 2 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Brenda Campbell (Billy) of Anderson.In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Levis Brown.The Service Celebrating the life of Mrs. Gentry will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Iva, with Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. Ed Hunsinger officiating. Interment will follow at Poplar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Ronda Bolt on Butler Street, Iva, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 6 PM ' 8 PM.
