Sadie Canup Atkinson Central, SC Sadie Canup Atkinson, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Jackson Canup and the late Thelma Kinsler Canup. She worked as a secretary at Cannon Mills for more than 44 years and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Central, SC. She is survived by her three daughters, Janet Hawkins and her husband Danny, of Wilmington, NC, Joyce Bryant and her husband Eddie, of Anderson, SC and Judy Hayes and her husband Oliver, of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hampton Atkinson. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Danny R. Hawkins and Pastor Michael Goldston officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Joyce Bryant, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Mt.
