Sally Masters Wakefield, age 72, devoted and loving wife of David C. Wakefield, III, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born in Anderson on August 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William P. Masters and the late Virginia Watson Masters. Mrs. Wakefield was a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School, Class of '63. She then attended Emory University and graduated from Clemson University. In addition to her husband, David, Sally is survived by a son, John D. Wakefield of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Virginia M. Fleishman and her husband, Dr. Henry Fleishman, of Charlotte, NC; and Lila Masters of Bozeman, MT. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Collins, Kennedy and Finley Wakefield of Tampa, FL, and Chase Seigler of New Smyrna Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Hill Masters Seigler, and a sister, Ansley M. Larson. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2017, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Sally Wakefield will follow at 3 p.m. at the McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ron Poole officiating.
