Samuel Lamar Gray, age 67, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, at his son's home. Born in Anderson, SC on March 11, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas Samuel Gray and the late Birdie Owen Gray. He worked as a Sprinkler Fitter in the Fire Protection field. He loved his family, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed his motorcycles and cars. He was a member of LifePoint Church in Seneca, SC. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Roberta McLennan Gray; a son, Sam Gray, of Fair Play; a daughter, Jennifer Gray, of Greeley, CO; a sister, Jackie Black, of La France; four grandchildren, Thomas and Vincent Gray, and Gabrielle Gray, of Phoenix, AZ, and Emily Hogan, of Greeley, CO; three great-grandchildren, Ceasar, Vincent, and Alex. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Gray, Mary Black, Monteen Arflin, Tommy Gray, Joan Simpson, and Gail Richey. The viewing will be held for one hour on Tuesday, April 16th, from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm at LifePoint Church in Seneca, SC with Pastor Josh Thomas and Eric Yoder officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC. Flowers will be accepted.
