Samuel Allen Heaton, 61, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, GA. Born in Anderson, SC, on December 17, 1956, Sam was the son of the late Theron Herbert Heaton and Linda Yvonne Hare Clark. He worked as a machine operator in textiles. Sam is survived by his children, Theron Heaton, Bo Heaton, Stacy Heaton and Wendy Roberts; brothers, William, Mark and John Coker; sister, Melody Riley (Robby) of Greenville; half-brother, Rodney Heaton; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by a brother, Theron Heaton. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow visitation on Saturday in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dwight Greene officiating.
