MINOR JAUNARY 13, 1940 - APRIL 26, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Samuel "Sam" Harold Minor, age 73, husband of Donna Jean Mundy Minor, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of Louvenia Williams Minor Davis of Abbeville, SC and the late Samuel J. Minor and the step son of the late Floyd Davis. Mr. Minor served in the United States Army and the National Guard and retired as a Master Sargent. He was a machinist with Temco, Inc. for forty years. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Eureka Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, buildings & grounds chairman and a choir member. Mr. Minor was a former member of Hiram Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, of the home; son, Richard "Dickie" Minor and his wife, Shannon of Anderson, SC; daughters, Teresa Lancaster and her husband, Chip of Hendersonville, NC and April Campbell and her husband, Butch of Anderson; brothers, William F. Davis and Jimmy Davis both of Abbeville, SC; sister, Madeline Brabham of Greenwood, SC; three grandchildren, Morgan Lancaster, Garrett Lancaster and Logan Minor. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 3:30 pm, at Eureka Baptist Church with the Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Men's Sunday School Class and the Deacons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Eureka Baptist Church from 2:00 pm until 300 pm before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eureka Baptist Church, 1600 US 29 North, Anderson, SC 29621.
