Samuel A. Moneyhun, age 74, of Anderson, SC passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Anderson, SC. Born December 31, 1942 in Manistique, MI, he was a son to the late Samuel I. Moneyhun and the late Dorothy Fredrickson Moneyhun. He was a retired computer specialist, master electrician and former mathematics and biology instructor. During his high school and college years he was All State and All American football player and also an Indiana State Chess Champion. He also coached football at Madison Heights High School in Anderson, IN. He is survived by his wife, Jolane Moneyhun of their home; son, Robert W. Bainbridge (Karen) of Cary NC; daughters, Stacey L. Fridley of Burke, VA and Theresa L. DePorter (Jeff) of Clarkston, MI; six grandchildren, Zack, Alex, Nick, Justin, Adam and Claire. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Moneyhun. The family will have a celebration of his life at 4:00 pm Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Brookdale of Anderson, 311 Simpson Road, Anderson. Flowers will be accepted.
