SAMUEL BENJAMIN MOWREY August 6, 1938 - November 27, 2012 Samuel Benjamin Mowrey, age 74, of 131 Sea Palms Drive, Anderson, SC, passed away at his residence on November 27, 2012. Born in Reynoldsville, PA, he was the eldest son of the late Charles Earl Mowery and the late Agnes Ruth Watt Mowery. Mr. Mowrey proudly served his country in the US Navy for a period of 9 years. By profession he was a computer specialist, a position from which he retired following associations with companies such as IBM, Memorex, and Amdahl. Benny enjoyed golf and wildlife outings. Especially important to him were his annual travels with his wife, Debbie, to Yellowstone National Park. Sam and Debbie formally resided in Treasure Lake in DuBois PA, until their move to Anderson, SC a year ago. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Turman Mowrey of the residence; 2 sons, Timothy Benjamin Mowrey of IL, Todd Earl Mowrey of Franklin, KY; 2 daughters, Tina Marie Hanna and her husband, David, of Union MO, Terrie Lynn Carroll and her husband, Jeffrey, of Belleville, IL; 2 brothers, David Mowery and wife, Patricia of Bel Air, MD, Charles Mowery and wife Shirley of Hillsborough, TX; also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Honoring Samuel's wishes, no services will be held.
