Sandra Louise McBride, age 79, of Iva, SC, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her home. Born June 19, 1943, in Iva, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Charping and Jeannett Billings Charping. She was married to the late James M. McBride. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ray and Joe Gary Charping; and sister, Martha Lewis. Louise's hobbies included reading, traveling, and walking. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Iva where she enjoyed being a part of the Sonshine Class. She is survived her sons, James McBride, Jr. (Shanon) and Jody McBride (Samantha) both of Iva, SC; daughter, Lynn McBride of Iva, SC; brother, Marshall Charping of Bowman, GA; sisters, Marie Land (Lonnie) of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Faye Johnson of Elberton, GA; brother-in-law, Edward McBride (Sha); grandchildren, Kayla Martin (Colin), Chris Powell (Misty), Kalee Cox (Ty), Jo McBride, Draven Price, Marisa Harbin (Grant), Marley McBride, and Murphy McBride; and 11 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Iva with Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. Paul Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Iva, P.O. Box 475, Iva, SC 29655 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621. The family will be at the home.
