Sandra Waller, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill, SC.

Born January 5, 1942, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Walter Thompson and Jean Luther Collins Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Eugene "Gene" Waller and brothers; James Walter Thompson III and John Collins Thompson.

Sandra worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics at Medical University Hospital and Anderson Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Waller (Billy Mullins) and Margaret "Meg" Waller; grandson, Charles James "Jake" Knowland; sister, Mary Rose Thompson Simpson; and adopted daughter, Win McGowin.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
