Born in Easley, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Thompson Wyatt, Sr. and the late Ethel Attaway Wyatt. She was a graduate of Easley High School and Drones Business College. Mrs. Brown worked as a telephone operator with Southern Bell and a bookkeeper for Alistair C. Furman Insurance Agency in Greenville. She enjoyed her home, gardening and was an avid reader, keeping up with current affairs. She attended Young Memorial ARP Church. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Brown of Anderson, SC, and K. Wyatt Merritt and her husband, Frank of Glen Ellyn, IL; brothers, Harold Wyatt of Piedmont, James Wyatt of Nakesville, VA and Gerald Wyatt of Easley; sister, Anne Gibson of Easley; two grandchildren, Julia Merritt and Frank W. Merritt. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, W. T . Wyatt, Jr., and Marion Wyatt; sisters, Laura Nell Noble, Kathleen Albright and Doris Massengale. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Corinth Baptist Church, Easley SC.
