ELIZABETH GOSSETTMAY 17, 1925 - NovemBER 27, 2008PENDLETON, SCMrs. Sara Elizabeth 'Lib' Gossett, age 83, of 215 North Elm Street, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Pickens County, SC on May 17, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Lawton and Dollie Leopard Lawton. Mrs. Gossett was a member of the Pendleton Garden Club and Pendleton United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her daughters: Sandra Gossett Merritt and husband, Ray Merritt, of Irmo, SC and Rebecca Gossett Oliver and husband, Larry Oliver, of Pendleton, SC; four grandchildren: Tracey Walker and husband, Reverend Michael Walker of Anderson, SC, Trey Merritt and wife, Lonna Merritt, of Anderson, SC, Sandi Harris and husband, Russell Harris, of Gaffney, SC, and Shara Merritt of Irmo, SC; and four great grandchildren: Kaeleigh Kirby, Kaeden Harris, Chance Merritt, and Hazy Merritt, IV.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gosssett was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Gossett, and a grandson, Larry Neal Oliver, Jr.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Pendleton United Methodist Church conducted by the Reverend Ben Barnett.
