Holmes, Sr., of 105 Deer Creek Road, Iva, SC, died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born in Iva, SC on July 5, 1928, Mrs. Holmes was a daughter of the late Robert Wilson McCrider and Ozie Marie Shaw McCrider. She was homemaker and was a member of Free Will Missionary Chapel.Survivors include her husband, Ralph F. Holmes, Sr., of the home; daughters, Sara Beatrice Payne of Iva, SC and Judy Alexander of Belton, SC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Stone. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Iva, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 13, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Sara Payne, 1407 Antreville Highway, Iva, SC and at the home of her daughter, Judy Alexander, 903 Whiten Road, Belton, SC.
