Sara Louise Wiles Mauldin, age 79, of Starr, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born November 13, 1945, in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Victor Wiles and Lula Mintoria Elgin Wiles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John C. Mauldin, Jr.; brothers, Ralph Wiles, Horace Wiles, Hoyt Wiles, Clyde Wiles, Jerry Wiles; sisters, Lula Mae Moon, Irene Dickerson, Mary Fay Wiles, Alice Burdette, and Phyllis Wells.

Sara was the owner of Starr Axle Company and a member of Wellington Pentecostal Holiness Church in Anderson. She was always reading her bible and was a warrior for God. She loved her family and was the glue that held them together.

She is survived by her son, John Richard Mauldin, Sr. (Kathy) of Starr; daughter, Rhonda Smith (Tony) of Starr; brother, Robert Wiles; sister, Linda Copeland; grandchildren, Crystal Gentle (Shane), John Mauldin (Meghan), Carey Smith (Justine), Randall Smith (Kelly) and Justin Mauldin (Chelsie); as well as fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchild and one on the way.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Wiles and Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Family will be at the home of her daughter, Rhonda Smith.
