SARA McCLAIN May 15, 1936 - June 13, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Sara Lee McClain, age 76, wife of Kenneth McClain, of 400 Brookhaven Drive, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Joe Otis Nixon and Marie Pilgrim Nixon. She was a Cosmetologist and retired from Cut Ups Hair Design. Sara was a member of Homeland Park United Methodist Church where she served as choir leader, WMU, and as a Sunday school teacher. In addition to her loving husband of 50 years, she is survived by her children, Jeanie Addington, Ricky Taylor, Sandra Donald and Pam Clark; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sara is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, and one sister. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2012 at The McDougald Funeral Home from 9:30am until 10:30am. The Funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00am with Reverend Andy Bullions and Mr. James Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
