Sarah Williams Hall, age 85, of 107 Wilson Road, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born on January 8, 1931, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Albert Williams and the late Lydia Sears Williams. For over sixty-six years, she was the loving and devoted wife of Jack H. Hall of the residence. For many years, Mrs. Hall was in home furnishing sales with J.C. Penney's, both downtown and at Anderson Mall. She was also employed at Gallant-Belk for a time. Mrs. Hall was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church where she was active as long as her health would permit. She found a lot of joy and comfort in listening to The Gaither's music. She loved her family dearly. In addition to her husband, Jack, Sarah is survived by four sons, Jack R. Hall and his wife, Diane, of Starr, Bruce Hall and his wife, Vicki, of Anderson, John R. Hall and his wife, Sharon, of Anderson, and Dwayne T. Hall and his wife, Tracie, of Anderson; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Andrew and Terry Hall, and Sarah Alewine and Timothy J. Cowart; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Claire and Chloe. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lane Hall; seven brothers, Lawrence, John, James, Carl, Frank, Raymond, and Donald Williams. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Sarah Hall will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 2:30 p.m., at The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Steve Silvey, Rev. Delano McMinn, and Rev. Dr. Matthew Danuser officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery.
