Mr. Whitfield was the son of Beverly D. Gunnels and Randy D. Whitfield. He was formerly employed as a drywall installer.Survivors include a son, Cody D. Whitfield of Anderson; daughter, Ashley Chambers of Anderson; mother, Beverly D. Gunnels of Townville; father, Randy D. Whitfield and step-mother Vicki of Anderson; sisters, Amy D. Kendrick of Belton, Rebecca W. Edney, Sarah D. Whitfield, Christine D. Whitfield and Rachel D. Whitfield, all of Anderson. He will be missed by his special pet dog, Peter. He was of the Baptist Faith. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Sam Chasteen officiating.
