Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of Edith Louise Whitman Hopson and husband, Lee R. Hopson of Toccoa, GA; daughters, Kathryn Pruitt of Anderson, and Heather Dotson of Dallas, TX and her daughter, Brook Dotson; brothers, Dean Pruitt and Scott Pruitt both of Anderson. He was preceded in death by his brother; Anthony Curtis Pruitt. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
