Sheila Davis King Brown, 81, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late James Edward "Ed" Brown for 55 years, passed away, Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Rainey Hospice House. Born December 27, 1938, in Clinton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis W. King and Audrey Davis King. She was a graduate of Anderson Girls High, Class of 1956, and Anderson College, Class of 1958. Sheila was the Volunteer Director at AnMed Health before her retirement, earning recognition as the 1995 TRIAVA Outstanding Volunteer Administrator in addition to other honors. Prior to joining the AnMed family, she worked for the Anderson/Oconee Council on Aging. A faithful member of Concord Baptist Church for 55 years, she was a Sunday School teacher and former kindergarten teacher. Sheila was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be truly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Susi Brown, and Katy Brown Glymph (David), both of Anderson; brother, Steve King (Janice) of Graniteville, SC; and three grandchildren, Luke Glymph (Leianne), Hope Glymph Cook (Jeff), and James Glymph. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register on Saturday, December 26, 2020, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Brown will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Don Cox officiating. Interment will be private following the church service. The family will be at the home of Katy and David Glymph, 101 Oxford Dr., Anderson, SC 29625.
