Sheila Kay Hicks, age 55, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born January 16, 1967, in Pelzer, she was the daughter of Becky "Mimi" Garner Ginn and the late James "Pee Wee" Ginn. Sheila had earned a master's degree and was a registered nurse. She was an avid sports fan and loved all music. She enjoyed "junkin" and traveling, especially to the beach. Sheila had a green thumb and spent lots of time in her she-shed crafting. She loved her family dearly and spending time with them brought her great joy. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Charles David Hicks; mother, Becky Ginn; daughters, Sommur Robinson (Robert) and Sheena Crawford (Andrew); grandchildren, Cooper Robinson, Jocelyn Crawford, Braylon Crawford, Malik Crawford, Jason Guzman, Maria Guzman, and Cheyenne Guzman; sisters, Bessie Shurkus and Angie Ginn; aunts, Cindy Womack and Faye Kelly; uncle, Ray Garner; sisters-in-law, Tiffany Bishop and Joyce Hicks; and close friends who were considered family, Carlis and Carol Holder and their daughters, and Miranda and Brian Gaillard and their son, Logan. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her infant half-brother, James Garner. The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date.
