Shelby Isom of Anderson, South Carolina passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 14, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born August 15, 1936 to Ellen Wright and Sam B. Scarborough. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Wright and Sam B. Scarborough; two brothers, Johnny Scarborough and Mac A. Wright; three sisters, Alice Cleveland, Frances Keith and Lou Bannister; and a grandson, Lane Holden. She left behind two brothers, J. P. Wright and Rev. Fred J. Scarborough; sister, Frankie Cain; three children, Rhonda Cantrell (David), Theresa Green and Stacie Erwin (Josh); five grandchildren, Cain Cantrell, Shannon Holden, Chris Cantrell, Crystal DeVall and Sheridan Moore; seven great-grandchildren, Michael Holden, Laycee Cantrell, Jackson Cantrell, Blaze Brown, Miley Brown, Layna DeVall, and Levi Nelson-Moore; and a special niece, Codi Buchanan (Josh) and their children Raegan and Axel Buchanan. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, 2020 from 12:00pm-1:30pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
