MEEKS December 19, 1939 - July 10, 2008ANDERSON, SCMrs. Shelby Jean Burdette Meeks, age 68, wife of the late Thomas Edward Meeks of 302 Burris Street, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at her daughter's residence in Williamston.Born in Oconee County, SC on December 19, 1939, Mrs. Meeks was a daughter of the late Mary Lou Burdette Blalock. She was a homemaker and formerly employed with Ellenburg Nursing Home. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. Survivors include sons, Jerry Floyd Powell of Columbia, SC and Billy Guy Powell, of Anderson; daughters, Glenda Marie Rollins of Anderson and Debra Jean Dean of Williamston; seven grandchildren, Chris, Heather, Jeanie, Kevin, Caleb, Allen and Kristina and eight great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a special friend, Calvin Massey of Anderson.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Sam Duncan.
