Sharon Ann Childs, age 61, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. She was born April 6, 1959 in Canton, OH and was the daughter of Charles Thomas Fromknecht and the late Mary Ann Kappes Fromknecht. Sherri was a graduate of Clemson University earning her bachelor's degree in Education. She taught 6th and 8th grade science at McCants Middle School for 27 years. Prior to that, she taught at Fort Mill Middle School for 9 years. Sherri was known for her boundless energy and dedicated love for her family and others. She enjoyed running with her friends, working in her park, decorating her house for all seasons and holidays, Clemson Football and all things baseball. She is survived by her husband of over 38 years, Russell Paul Childs; father and step-mother, Tom and Dorothy Fromknecht; sons, Scott Childs (Emily), and Kevin Childs (Emily); siblings, Laura Furgeson (Mark), David Fromknecht (Susan), Carolyn Williams (Robert), Amy Gannon, and Christy Fuda (Jerome); and granddaughter, Olivia. In light of COVID protocol, the family will be having a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O.
