Shirley Jean Gilliam, a longtime resident of Anderson, passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 at NHC of Greenville.

French was the language of her mother and her Belgium ancestors and she loved teaching others to share her love for this language. Her enthusiasm made this a class that many looked forward to taking.

Shirley is survived by a sister, Marguerite Gilliam Willard of Mauldin SC, three nieces and other family members. Also surviving are long time special friends, Mildred Jones and Melissa Jones.
Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday December 17, 2017 at Forest Lawn Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend Herb Franklin officiating.
