Main Street Anderson, SC 29621 OBITUARYW/PHOTO Mrs. Sidney DeSmyter December 4, 1952 - July 18, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Sidney Frances DeSmyter, RN age 54, wife of Skip DeSmyter of 102 Oak Knoll Terrace passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Wilmington, DE on December 4, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Edwin Mounger Richardson and Dr. Frances Mary Richardson. Sidney was an awesome wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid sailor, tennis player and gardener and had a wonderful love for her dog, Kramer. Mrs. DeSmyter was a member of Stone Creek Cove Golf and Tennis Club and was of the Episcopal Faith. She was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Sidney was a Registered Nurse at AnMed Health Medical Center ' 2 North in Anderson.Survivors include her husband, Skip DeSmyter of the home; sons, Ryan Craig Zerbe and his wife, Teri of Wilmington, DE, Randy James DeSmyter of Boston, MA, David Allen DeSmyter and his wife, Cami of Dewitt, MI and Darren Andrew DeSmyter and his wife, Brenda of Grosse Pointe, MI; daughters, Dana Lynn DeSmyter of Gross Pointe, MI and Darcy Lizabeth DeSmyter of New York, NY; brothers, James Frederick Richardson and his wife, Karen of Gaithersburg, MD and Thomas Edwin Richardson and his wife Linda of Elbert, CO; sisters, Sarah Anne Isabel Oberle and her husband Bill of Newark, DE and Kathleen Fisher Matheson and her husband Neil of Bear, DE.
