Mr. Sidney Johnson Herring, age 100 of 1007 Bern Circle, Anderson, SC, husband of Guynelle Cleveland Herring, died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Hospice House in Anderson, SC. Born in Hart County, GA on May 15, 1905, Mr. Herring was a son of the late James Levi Herring and Leila Ann Burden Herring. He was retired from Appleton Mill and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Hartwell, GA. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a son, Charles E. Herring and his wife, Sara N., of Spartanburg, SC; two grandchildren, David B. Herring and his wife, Tracy of Spartanburg, SC and Randall L. Herring of Rock Hill, SC and two great-grandchildren, Adam D. Herring and Caitlin C. Herring, both of Spartanburg, SC.Funeral services willb e held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The MCDougald Funeral Home by the Rev. Ted Kelly. INterment will follow in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartwell, GA.The family will be at their respective homes.
