OBITUARY: With Flag Anderson, SC Sidney Osborne Sidney "Sid" Osborne, age 92, of Anderson, went to be with his Lord, joining his soul mate, Drucilla, upon his death at AnMed Health Medical Center on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Born on August 21, 1921, in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late C.C. "Bud" Osborne and the late Jessie Allen Osborne. For 61 years, Sid was the devoted and loving husband of the late Drucilla Long Osborne until her death in 2010. Mr. Osborne proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II. He was a faithful member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. Sid enjoyed his many trips to the mountains with family. Survivors include one son, Mark Osborne and his wife, Vickie, of Starr; one daughter, Mary Del Beusse and her husband Jody, of Anderson; a brother, Jim Osborne of Anderson; a sister Ruby Watson of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Christopher Beusse, Stephanie Perry, Andrew Beusse, Erica Osborne, Whitney Osborne, Laura Bryant, and Chris Skelton; also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren. Sid was admired and respected by the many friends and family members he leaves behind. In addition to his parents, and his wife, Drucilla, Mr. Osborne was preceded in death by three brothers, O.C. Osborne, Lester Osborne, and Lev Osborne; and one sister, Ellen Speer. A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Sidney Osborne will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Mr. Harry Osborne officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park mausoleum.
