Siebert Wesley Robinson, Jr., age 87, of 609 W. Fredericks Street, husband of Lena Bailey Robinson, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.Born May 23, 1923, in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Sebert Wesley Robinson, Sr. and the late Cora Cobb Robinson Boggs. He graduated from Columbia High School and the Carolina School of Commerce. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corp.He was retired from the Civil Service Department of the U.S. Army and worked with and was a member of the U. S. Army Reserves at Clemson.He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church where he was active in many activities while his health permitted. He was a former member and past president of the Anderson County Historical Society, former member of the Anderson Lions Club and past president of the Centerville Lions Club.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lena Bailey Robinson; one grandson, Mac Horton and his wife, Lindsay of Belton; one great-grandson, James M. Horton IV and son-in-law, Jim Horton of Belton.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Robinson Horton. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Batson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 19, 2011, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm prior to the Funeral Service at 3:30 pm in the Chapel. .The family is at the residence.Flowers are optional.
