IVA Singleton "Boyd" Boles, age 91, husband of the late Mary Marshall Armstrong Boles, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015, at his residence. Born in Lowndesville, South Carolina, on November 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Calley and Pearl Lee Parnell Boles. A member of Good Hope Baptist Church, he was a retired supervisor in the line division with Duke Power. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II in Germany. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge F&AM. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy E. Loftis (Steve) of Greer and Cindy R. Sevy (Brent) of Iva; five grandchildren, Andrew and Kayci Loftis, Jessica Herring and her husband Jody, and Sierra and Shyana Sevy; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Jonas and Elena Herring. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cally Mae Bannister and Hazel Walls and brother, Charles L. Boles. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Daniel Atkins. The family will be at the residence.
