Sloan C. Burdette, 78, of Starr, SC passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home. Born April 7, 1940 in Anderson County, SC, he was a son of the late Flavor and Cora Duncan Burdette. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Burdette. Sloan was owner operator of Sloan Burdette Roofing and Repair. He was an avid deer hunter and loved traveling to the mountains. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Wilson Burdette; sons, Dale Burdette (Sandra), Michael Burdette (Sheena) and James Burdette (Amy); brothers, Robert and Frank Burdette; sisters, Jonell Smith, Shirley Whitfield and Brenda Glenn; six grandchildren, Brittany, Jarrett, Sloan, Zachary, Dekota and Mae and great-grandson, Gus. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev.
