Sonya Ann "Sunshine" Vaughn Huskey, 54, of Pelzer, SC, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born March 17, 1966 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Buddy Lee Vaughn and Hattie Lee Mathis Vaughn. Sonya was a graduate of USC Upstate and worked for Sealed Air. She loved taking trips to the beach and her favorite place to be was at their cabin in the mountains. Her friends and family were warmed by her sunny personality. Her shining smile persevered through every storm. She was a protector of her family and the most generous soul you would ever meet. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband of over 27 years, Charles William Huskey; son, Travis Huskey (Brittany) of Greenville, SC; two sisters of Inman, Shannon Lanford (Blake) and Sherry Reid (Tommy); three nephews, Alston Mosley (Katherine), Ben and Hudson Lanford and one niece Amanda Clontz; eight great nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles who loved her dearly. Sonya was also survived by her very special friends, Freddie and Alvie Kernells, David and Robin Evans and Rodger and Renee Dalrymple. In addition, Sonya and Charles shared a very special pet, Cheyanne Huskey. She was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Lee Vaughn; Grandparents, Wayne and Stella Mathis and Lee and Annie Vaughn.
