Spyridoula Treacy, age 71, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home. Known by her friends as "Spyri", she was born in Germany. She was a professional ballet dancer and moved to the United States to dance at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. There she met her husband, John Treacy, who was working as a stagehand. They moved to Anderson from New Jersey in 1995 for the climate and the people. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Thomako, and her mother, Ruth Hoerger. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Treacy, who lives at their home in Anderson, and by her sister, Crystina Thomako, who lives in California.
