Obituary

Stan Honeycutt, 85, of Anderson, SC died Friday, July 28, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born February 17, 1932 in Hamlet, NC, Stan was the son of the late Fletcher Honeycutt and the late Bessie Goodwin Honeycutt. Stan graduated from Erskine College and received a master's degree from Western Carolina University. He is survived by his sons, Terry Honeycutt (Chris) of Anderson, SC and Ritter Honeycutt of Wilmington, NC; daughter, Sissy Madden (Mark) of Anderson, SC; 4 grandchildren, Kinsley Bailey (David), Lawes Honeycutt, Landon Madden, McKenna Honeycutt, and great-grandchild, Lila Anne Bailey; and niece, Betsy Easter of Tappahannock, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Elizabeth Ritter Honeycutt; brother, F.L. Honeycutt, half-brother, Charles Honeycutt, and half-sister, Marie Brown. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 31, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Teasley and Rev. Bob Carlisle officiating. The family will receive friends following the service for one hour. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission Development Ministries, 208 Bowen Drive, Anderson, SC 29621 and Calvary Home for Children, 110 Calvary Home Circle, Anderson, SC 29621.
