STEVE DURBIN August 1, 1955 - June 21, 2012 ANDERSON, SC Stephen Douglas Durbin, Sr., age 56, of 1024 Windmill Trail, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his residence. Born in Louisville, KY he was the son of the late Charles Durbin and the late Opal Jean Adams Durbin. He graduated from Fairdale KY High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Steve worked for Ingersoll Rand at both the Marietta, GA and Charlotte, NC sites. He also worked for Palmetto Refrigeration in Greenville, SC. He enjoyed remote control planes, fishing on the lake and riding the jet-ski. He held a black belt in karate and was an avid cook. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Minor Durbin; his children, Diana Laughlin of Buckingham, VA, Stephen Durbin and his wife Jennifer of Anderson and Charles Durbin and his wife Kris of Anderson; brothers, Bobby, Terry and Doug Durbin all of Louisville, KY; sisters, Brenda Spagnola and Vickie Meredith of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Joseph Laughlin, Rylee Durbin and Charles Durbin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Durbin. The Funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Durbin will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Barnette's Grove Emmanuel Holiness Church with Reverend Pete Minor officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Durbin will be taken back to his home and the family will receive friends at the home, 1024 Windmill Trail, Anderson, SC on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
