Stephen Jesse Foster, age 66, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Greenville, SC. Born in Anderson, SC on July 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Milledge R. Foster, Jr. and the late Juanita Newton Foster. He was a graduate of Pendleton High School and earned an associate's degree from Tri County Technical College. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed as an Electronics Technician for Bellsouth. Stephen was very involved the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, and was Coordinator for Anderson County Emergency Preparedness. He also enjoyed membership in the Anderson Amateur Radio Club. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and the Larry Stone Sunday School Class. He is survived his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Hurt Foster, their two sons, Stephen J. Foster, Jr and his wife Susan McClure Foster, of Findlay, OH and Mark Robert Foster and his wife Amy Waters Foster, of Anderson, SC; and four grandchildren, Jessica Marie Foster, Katelyn McClure Foster, Madelyn Rose Foster, and Isabella Jasmine Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael H. Foster. The Funeral Service will be held at Concord Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Don Cox officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. Honorary Escorts will be members of Anderson Radio Club.
