Stephen D. Gannaway, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at AnMed Medical Center. Stephen was born on September 9, 1948, in Memphis, TN, to the late James Joyner Gannaway Jr. and Rebekah Deaton Gannaway. He was self-employed as a financial advisor, and was a member of various financial associations. Stephen enjoyed golfing, karate, and time with his family and friends. Spending time with his fur babies, Toby and Gigi, was what he enjoyed the most. Stephen is survived by his wife, Barbara Gannaway; son, Stephen Deaton Gannaway (Kathy); daughters, Heather Alexander (Chris) and Caroline Anderson; brothers, Jeff Gannaway (Sandy) and Jim Gannaway (Cass); sister, Celia Gannaway Wallace (Tom); and 5 grandchildren. Stephen was predeceased in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E Calhoun St, Anderson, SC 29621.
