Ronald Stephen Scott, age 77, of Campobello, SC, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum, SC. Born December 24, 1945 in Greer, SC, he was the son of the late Jason Scott and Edna Childress Scott. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Scott; a brother, and a sister. He was the owner of Deadline Still Met and an avid NASCAR fan and fisherman. Stephen was a Vietnam veteran who served his country in the US Army. He is survived by a son, Christopher Stephen Scott (Amy.) The graveside service will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Celebrant Mike Rippy officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Campbell Patriots. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at support.woundedwarriorsproject.org/donate.
