Steve M. Dalton Anderson, SC Steven Mallory Dalton, age 67, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015, at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC on November 27, 1947, he was the son of the late Willie J. Dalton and the late Willie Mae Dunn Dalton. Steve was a proud graduate of McDuffie High School, where he was class president and was also a graduate of Tri County Technical College. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. Steve was an U.S. Army retiree and was awarded the Bronze Star in 1970 for his service in Vietnam. He retired from AT& T as a systems technician after 35 years of service. Steve was a kind and loving man to everyone and took special care of his mother. He attended New Prospect Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving long-time companion, Patti Lynch, of Anderson. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, with Reverend Tom Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. The family will be at the home, and will receive friends at the funeral home, on Thursday, prior to the service from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
