Steve Ray Harris, age 68, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born August 9, 1954, in Anderson, he was a son of the late Layton Ray Harris and Corine Ethel Taylor Harris. Steve was the owner and operator of SGS Contractors and Harris Brothers Pest Control. He was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan, loved traveling and entertaining his friends. He was a proud grandfather and enjoyed supporting his granddaughter at her volleyball games and dance recitals. He is survived by his wife, Debra Harris; daughter, Stephanie Dochney (Jimmy); granddaughter, Abbey Rae Dochney; stepsons, Dustin and Jason Hannold; brother, Gary Harris; and sisters, Darlene Price (Ed), Dottie Wells (Billy Taylor), and Sandy Lancaster. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 1:30 pm.
