Steve Wilson Honea Path, SC Michael Steven Wilson, age 64, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Greenville, SC, on July 14, 1950, he was the son of the late Luther Commodore Dewey Wilson, Jr. and the late Martha Alice Wooten Wilson. He graduated from J.L. Mann High School and subsequently from the University of South Carolina with a BS Degree in Pharmacy. Steve was a pharmacist and owned Honea Path Pharmacy in Honea Path, SC. After selling Honea Path Pharmacy, he went on to become the first pharmacist with Rainey Hospice House. Steve retired as a pharmacist with Anmed Health Systems. Music was a large part of Steve's life. He was frequently a headliner in local theatrical productions and was also a former minister of music for Calvary Baptist Church in Williamston, SC. He was a member of several gospel quartets over the years. Steve was a devoted husband. He and Linda were avid boaters who enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the lake. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Roberts Wilson, of the home; two sons, Michael Wilson and his wife Bliss, of Savannah, GA and Reed Wilson and his wife Shannon, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Cheryl Dobson, of Denver, NC; and four grandchildren, "Savannah" Grace, William "Drake", "Eva" Reed and "Bennett" Parks Wilson. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Honea Path with Pastor Mike Moody officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
