Steven Lee Bertz, Jr., age 36, of Greenville, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Born September 16, 1988, in Chapel Hill, NC, he was the son of Steven Lee Bertz, Sr. and Sylvia Caffrey Bertz.

Steven attended schools in Sandy Hook, CT, and was an automotive technician by trade. He was always willing to help others with car repairs. He was passionate about BMWs, loved deep sea fishing with his Uncle Paul and cousin John, and enjoyed watching movies. He was an avid Clemson fan who collected memorabilia and had an impressive knowledge of Clemson statistics. He was a member of Pine Valley United Methodist Church in Wilmington, NC. He loved spending time with his family and adored his younger cousins who looked up to him. Steven will be truly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Kevin Bertz (Jennifer); grandmothers, Alice Ford and Ruth Bertz; nephew, Luke; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Bertz and David Moore; and sister, Valerie Bertz.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 9:00-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
