Johnson, 62, husband of Barbara Alewine Johnson (former residents of Starr, SC) passed away at his home on January 13, 2010, in Huntington Beach, California. Steve is the son-in-law of Boyce and Jean Alewine of Boerne, TX. He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, and held the position of Plant Engineer for Foster Forbes Glass Plant in Waxahachie, Texas. Steve and Barbara moved to Huntington Beach in 1998. Steve was blessed to be the recipient of a heart transplant in March of 2005. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Dorris Johnson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Keegan Higgins and wife, Sara, of NC; the William family (Ingo, Leigh, Noah and Zoe) of San Diego, CA; brother, Richard Brent Johnson and family of Costa Mesa, CA, including niece and nephew, Brianna and Brent Johnson, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.A Memorial Service will be held at Harvest Christian Fellowship, Riverside, CA, on January 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Greg Laurie and Willie Jordan, Steve's cousin and aunt, will lead the service.
